# README - Second Brain Templates # What this is: starter files for your own AI operating system, sorted into the 5 layers. # This README is a guide, not a template you fill in. THE FOLDERS ARE THE 5 LAYERS - 0-setup/ this guide, the installer, the weekly maintenance checklist, and the two audit prompts - 1-constitution/ who your AI is: the always-loaded core - 2-memory/ what your AI knows: sphere indexes and the bootstrap interview - 3-skills/ what your AI does: reusable instructions, plus portable skills from a live system (verify7, context7, mail7, pic7) - 4-tools/ what your AI is plugged into - 5-focus/ what you do now: priorities and the weekly loop IN A HURRY? THE ALL FILES - ALL-AIOS.txt every template and skill on this page in one long file. Load it once, let your AI sort it into its own layers. - 1-constitution/ALL-CONSTITUTION.txt all constitution sizes in one file. - 3-skills/ALL-SKILLS.txt every skill file in one file. The individual files stay the source; the ALL files are bundles generated from them. TWO WAYS TO START 1. Fastest: paste 0-setup/aios-install.md into your AI and say "read this and set me up." It builds the folders, fills the templates with you, and runs the setup interview. 2. By hand: copy 1-constitution/constitution-minimum.txt, replace every [SQUARE-BRACKET PROMPT], feed it to your AI as a context file. Working Constitution in 5 minutes. THREE CONSTITUTION SIZES (match the course outcome levels) - constitution-minimum.txt Minimum: you understand it. One page, 3 rules, day-one useful. - constitution-optimum.txt Optimum: it runs your week. North star, NEVER list, focus, the weekly loop. - constitution-expert.txt Expert: you build on it. The multi-file version with an index on top. Start small. Move up only when the current size feels crowded. TWO AUDITS, MONTHLY - system-audit-prompt.txt the machinery: what loads and its token cost, skills used and unused, every tool tested live, security holes. - content-audit-prompt.txt the writing: one honest index per folder, constitution within budget, all 5 layers clean. Paste one in, strongest model, maximum thinking, walk away for 30 to 50 minutes. Alternate them, one every two weeks. The maintenance checklist is your 15-minute weekly hand; the audits are the deep monthly pass. THE CHAR-BUDGET IDEA Every auto-loaded file costs tokens on every session. Keep each file lean so the AI reads fast and stays focused. Each template header suggests a budget. Detail that does not fit goes into deeper files the AI opens only when needed, not into the always-loaded core. These files are plain text on purpose. They work with any AI model and any editor, today's or the next one. The persona in these templates (Sam Rivera, a freelance marketing consultant in Lisbon) is fictional. Delete it and make it yours.
